Future Internet Assembly Research Roadmap V1.0
Available for download
Version 1.0 of the
Future Internet Assembly Research Roadmap is available for download from the Roadmap Working Group wiki.
The report summarises and integrates contributions for the research roadmap received since FIA Ghent in December. We have taken the liberty to suggest six overall research priorities described in the eight-page summary which is section one. The remainder of the document is structured according to the framework that we described at FIA Ghent in December. Following FIA Budapest we will open a web-based review process to allow for feedback and additional contributions.
My sincere thanks to all who have contributed material, presentations and ideas for the roadmap and to those who participated in the workshop that we held on 31st March in Brussels. You will find that we have used text from your contributions and heavily edited it to fit it together with all the other materials and the overall idea of the roadmap which was to integrate contributions across all the different research areas. If we have mangled your meaning too much we apologise. There are many areas where we could have used much more input. We look forwards to additional input and feedback as contributions towards as second version and there will be a web-based review period to gather comments and feedback before the next FIA in Poznan.
Thanks also are due to the editing team, Markus Fiedler, Hans Schaffers, Nick Papanikolaou, and Anastasius Gavras for their insight, support and hard work putting this together.
Nick Wainwright
