FP7_UNITE_Project: Funding for Mobility
UNITE is a EU-FP7 coordination action with available funding to increase the level of excellence of ICT research across an Enlarged Europe, by promoting active secondment to research teams and strengthening cooperation in the research domains of the "Future of the Internet", where your project is part of it. The UNITE funding available is granted to support the flow of skilled people among universities, research institutes, and business-related companies between EU 15 countries and the countries of the Enlarged Europe (EU 27), and vice-versa – Secondment Programme. UNITE has specific budget for grants to support this kind of mobility and researchers recruitment. UNITE contributes to identify opportunities and map strategic cooperation of on-going major ICT research activities and projects, as it is your case. Through UNITE any European research project can manage to get grants for additional researchers:
- As a Secondment Programme for researchers
- For cooperation with other projects using the same mobility scheme
As candidate to secondment:
You can go to a foreign institution (known as Host Organization), and do research in a topic of your interest. A full application, including an Application form, candidates’ Curriculum Vitae (EU format) and copy of ID and Certificates, must be submitted to the UNITE Virtual Front Office. UNITE has specific budget to support this kind of mobility.
As Host Organization:
You can host a candidate fully supported by UNITE to work in your projects. To become a Host Organization you need to fill out a Host Application Form (available at www.unite-europe.eu) and send it to the UNITE Virtual Front Office. By joining the UNITE Project and its Secondment Programme, institutions become a part of UNITE’s Virtual Communities and the UNITE’s Secondment Matrix (www.unite-europe.eu), where candidates can choose the institution where they want to develop their research in a secondment programme. Please find attached our project brochure, but you can also visit our website at: www.unite-europe.eu for more information.
We fully appreciate if you could disseminate UNITE Project among your colleagues, as well as forward this email among other project partners, researchers, PhD students, Universities and your mailing lists of contacts in European countries. I also take this opportunity to inform you that the call for secondment is constantly open, and the next notification of acceptance will be on the 21st January, and will take into consideration all the applications submitted until 21st December.
On behalf of UNITE Project I thank you in advance.
