FIArch Open Workshop highlights

The Future Internet Architecture working group (FIArch) had a workshop on 23 May 2011 in Brussels. More than 40 experts from industry and academia participated in the meeting. The major highlights of the workshop are:

• There was a strong interest of most participants on the FIArch group work and would like to actively participate to the group
• A number of very interesting and diversing opinions on the FI Design Principles have been contributed, presented and discussed/debated in the workshop
• The next step that FIArch group will analyse them from a technical and socio-economic point of view and conclude to the most important ones that receive the maximum consensus
• A schedule for the FI Design Principles white paper has been drafted. The next step (after a number of iterations) to conclude to an pre-final version to be presented in FIA Ponzan and collect feedback/comments, which will lead to the final version of the white paper by mid to end of November
