Call for FIRE use scenarios
FIREworks and PII call for use scenarios for the FIRE facilites
For the next
Future Internet Assembly event that will take place in Madrid in December 2008, the Future Internet Research and Experimentation area (FIRE) plans to discuss use scenarios to illustrate how the FIRE facilities can be used, and how the customers (e.g. research projects in ICT FP7) want to use them.
For achieving this objective the FIRE area makes the following poroposal:
- The ICT FP7 projects of the Assembly, provide use case descriptions from the customer of these facilities' point of view.
In order to stimulate the discussion we are asking all clusters to provide illustrative descriptions of how these areas (e.g. networking, media, services, Internet of things, security, ...) intent to use the FIRE facilities. These descriptions should be described according to the
proposed template. You do not have to stick to the template; this is offered as a guidance.
As a help PII provides two examples of what PII will be able to support in the short term (
example use case concurrect testing) and what is planned for the longer term (
example use case certification process). The provided examples may be amended before the Madrid event. - Reserve a slot of 15 minutes within each session of the other clusters (e.g. networking, media, services, Internet of things, security, ...) to present and discuss the use cases originating from this cluster.
During the FIRE session at the Madrid event all use cases will be summarized, conclusions may be drawn, and future directions may be proposed. - Deadlines
In order to allow for consolidation and co-ordination of the session, each cluster is asked to respond with two use cases (short term, long term) by 21 November 2008.
