Please find attached the minutes and the presentations that were presented during the caretakers meeting on 22 January, as well as the updated agenda of FIA Valencia. The following actions are important:

• All session leaders have to send a short description of their session asap to me, preferably before 29 January.
• Confirmation of speakers and further session organisation: All session leaders, before 1 March.
• All session leaders should find a rapporteur for their session.
• Next caretakers meeting on 26 February is cancelled.
• There will be a caretakers meeting immediately after FIA Valencia, to evaluate it and to define the format and topics for FIA Ghent. The proposal is to meet from 14.30 to 15.30 right after lunch.

Please find attached an updated agenda for the next FIA preparation meeting in Avenue de Beaulieu 25, room LT02 in Brussels on 22 January and an updated scheduling of the sessions in Valencia.

 
Every session of FIA Valencia now has a leader assigned to it.  Can I ask this leader to send a short description of the objectives and outline and initial agenda of the session to me by 15 January?

These initial thoughts will be discussed on the 22 January.

Initial ideas for each session ready (short email to me). Confirmation of participation to the meeting on 22 January.

Friday 22 January      
Next preparation meeting for FIA Valencia, in Brussels. We will then discuss in more detail the initial ideas of each session.

Friday 29 January: Initial descriptions of sessions ready to be published on future-internet.eu.

Friday 26 February
Optional preparation meeting for FIA Valencia in Brussels (if necessary).

Please find attached the agenda for the next FIA preparation meeting in Avenue de Beaulieu 25, room LT02 in Brussels on 22 January. This room has videoconference facilities, let me know if you want to use them to join the meeting. Since there will be new topics in Valencia it was difficult for me to know who will lead those sessions. I have made a preliminary assignment. Let me know if you agree, or who else should do it.

Also the draft agenda for FIA Valencia is attached. The first day we will have the availability of a fourth auditorium for a parallel session. Since two groups (search and enterprise) wanted to organise a follow up session we scheduled them to take place as a fourth parallel session. Even though some people want less parallelism, given the numbers of people that will be present at the meeting (450) it might not be a bad idea to split over 4 sessions.

If necessary we will have a second meeting to prepare for Valencia on 26 February in Brussels.

Attached you can find the minutes of the meeting we had immediately after Stockholm. It contains the draft agenda of FIA Valencia and some actions to which I like to draw your attention:

Friday 11 December:
Report of Stockholm sessions sent to the rapporteur Mike Sharpe (mike@msconsulting.co.uk) and cc to me.
Reports should be 2-2½ pages max. They should cover:
–       Objectives for the session
–       Key points from presentations and discussions
–       Conclusions and Next Steps towards Valencia
