FIA Working Groups

In between conferences, collaboration among projects and individuals is encouraged through FIA Working Groups. Each project is expected to contribute to at least one working group.

A number of technical FIA working groups are/will be set-up in accordance with the FIA objectives, expected technical results and based on an open call for working groups.

Each working groups’ membership would be from multiple FP7 project teams and multiple domains.

  • Each working group will register its Terms of Reference (e.g. rational, scope, activities, results, etc.) with the FIA Steering Committee and will maintain an open Web presence (i.e. membership, scope, work plan and results).
  • The working groups will produce some of the FIA deliverables, such as:
    • FIA Books
    • A critical assessment of the user/service capabilities of possible architectural models addressed by the Community
    • Functional specifications of components
    • Open source solutions
    • Evaluations of existing solutions
    • Roadmaps
    • White papers
    • Scenarios
    • Etc.
  • The work progress will be periodically reviewed and monitored by FIA Steering Committee on an annual basis.
  • If a working group is not longer delivering to FIA objectives the group will be closed by the FIA SC.
